Matryoshka Dolls

In Interior Design, Shop on November 15, 2008 at 8:04 am

I have always had a great fascination with the beauty, elegance and incredible handwork of Russian Matryoshka dolls.

I especially love the taller ones (most of wine bottle holders) as they can add height and be used as decor pieces throughout a living space better. See these and more at the Matryoshka Store.

More on Bali Art

In Interior Design, Shop on November 11, 2008 at 11:04 pm

I absolutely adore Bali art. In fact ethnic handcrafts are just amazing to me. They inspire me to want to learn more and create unique living spaces full of life and original handcrafts instead of just expensive accessories. For more info on the ones below, go to Novica.

Best of My Marrakesh I

What defines beauty? Or better yet, who defines beauty? Is it all the same to everyone? Do we all sit back with awe at the same time? Can we all capture beauty the same way? I certainly don’t believe so. But I do believe that Maryam from My Marrakesh is a true visionary with a sight for beauty very rare in this world. Here’s a collection of some of her beautiful pictures from My Marrakesh.

Beautiful East – Indian Tapestries

In Interior Design on November 10, 2008 at 1:31 am

I love how the eastern influence goes far and wide and people actually blend it so well with their lifestyles & decor that it is rather hard to notice right away. Dare to be bold and accent your living room, bedroom, nursery, study with a handmade tapestry from India. Hang on a wall or lay on a table or better yet frame one or two next to each other!
